Cultural Achievements


Ms. Navpreet being felicitated by College Principal Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi on her being selected Ms. Punjab for Femina Ms.India 2017 going to be held in June where she will be representing her state. Earlier also ,Navpreet Kaur, a student of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya – The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar has made the institution proud by becoming a top 5 finalist in FBB Miss India 2016 Competition held in Mumbai.


National Level Achievements

I) Youth Festival Achievements
 Our college Luddi team bagged 1st position in Inter University Competition held at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib on 23rd Jan 2016.  In the Zonal Youth Festival held at GNDU, Amritsar from 27th -30th Oct,2017. College participated in 28 Items and won position in 14 Items.  College Giddha and Luddi team made KMV proud by representing PUNJAB in 21stNational Youth Festival held from 9th Jan – 17th January, 2017 at MDU Rohtak.  Navpreet Kaur student of BA JMC declared Ms. Punjab 2017 and finalist of Femina Ms. India 2017
II) Participation in Harvallabh Sangeet Sammelan
 Every Year Students participate in Classical Vocal Competition organized during the annual International Harvallabh Sangeet Sammelan held at Devi Talab Mandir, Jalandhar in the month of December.
III) Participation In Indian Cultural Association Competition
 KMV students participate in National level competition organised by Indian Cultural Association held at Kartarpur every year. Students participate in 12 items and win many positions every year. This is a permanent programme in which our teams participate. It is held in the month of February every year.
IV) Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Society Events (National Martyr’s Memorial Society)
 Every year in the end month of October or first week of November our students participate in national level competitions organised by Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Society under the banner of Mela Baba Gadriyan da at Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall Jalandhar. Students have won many prizes in Group Song, Folk Song, Painting and declamation.

Zonal Level Achievements

V) Achievements in Zonal Youth Festival
 In the Zonal Youth Festival held at GNDU, Amritsar from 27th -30th Oct, 2017. College participated in 28 Items and won position in 14 Items.
 Our college Giddha Team stood 1st at District Level competition held at DAV, Jalandhar on 17th March, 2017 organized by Punjab Govt.
 Our college Giddha Team stood 3rd at State Level Competition held on 25th March 2017 organised by Punjab Govt.
 On 29th March 2017 Youth Day was celebrated by youth welfare services, Punjab Govt. and our Giddha and Luddi team performed and the team was honoured.

Every year our students participate in Doaba Youth Fest organised by Doaba College, Jalandhar in the month of November. Students participate in around 20 items.
 In the year 2016-2017 our students lifted Second Runners Up trophy.
The college provides ample opportunities to students to collaborate activities with various bodies (NGO’s) like Junior chamber international, Rotary international, Lion’s club, Goonj and Pehal
 Every year more than 500 students are administered oath of Integrity by JCI Jalandhar City. It is an oath taken by students of school and colleges all over India on Feb 4, every year.
 Every year JCI conducts National Level Talent Search Examination of college students in which students participate and get certificate of participation.
 Every year our college in collaboration with JCI Jalandhar City and Rotary Club of Jullundur, arrange Tree Plantation drive where NGO ‘PEHAL’ donates medicinal and other saplings for institution.
 GOONJ is an NGO which collects discarded various materials from households like clothes ,toys stationary , shoes etc. and convert them into useful materials by segregating and repairing them. Rtn. Neena Sondhi, Ms. Shuchi, and Ms. Harshie from team Goonj explained the various objectives of this NGO and its present way of working. Our Institution made a commendable contribution to this society with the mission that “Service to Humanity is the best work of Life”

Every year our students participate in International Hamdard Virasati Mela held in the month of February at Kapurthala. Students win different titles under this competition.
 On 18th Feb 2016, seven students participated and won different titles. Ms. Pardeep Kaur was declared 1st Runners Up .
 Seven students of our college participated in ‘Dhee Punjab Di’ competition organized by Kirpal Sagar College of Education, Rahon on 10th March 2016. Three students won different Titles and Ms. Simarjit Kaur was declared 1st Runners Up and got cash prize of Rs. 7100/- along with Chandidiyan Jhanjran.
 Every year our students along with teachers incharge attend workshops specially arranged for students participating in national level and state level competitions in Theatre, Dance, Music, Painting and Folk dances items. Experts on these subjects come to interact with students and it is a lecture cum demonstration activity. It is organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in the months of August and September.
 KMV Giddha team gave performance and attended workshop organised by Punjab government in Chandigarh and got special prize.
 Inter college cultural competition was organized at Guru Nanak Khalsa College Daroli Kalan on Feb 17, 2014 in which the college lifted Winners Trophy.
 Every year students participate in Inter college competition ‘SYNERGY’ organized by LKC, Jalandhar in the month of March. Students participated in 12 items on 26 -27, Feb 2017 won Second Runners Up Trophy
