Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No.1 College  in India by India Today Ranking (Various Categories) presented a Mock Budget.           It was presented by PG Department of Economics as a part of EcoEcho Fest. The fest also included Rangoli & Choreography on the prevailing economic scenario of the country. Enthusiastic participants played out the process of budget presentation with students living up the various characters- Prime Minister, Finance Minister, Home Minister and many more prominent members of Parliament. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the mock budget which helped them to understand the process of budget presentation and developed critical thinking among them so that the students should be able to look at both sides of a coin. In Rangoli competition, 25 students participated and covered several pertinent issues like GST, Girl Education, International Trade, Inflation and Unemployment etc. Students of B.Com (Hons.) Sem III presented choreography on economic problems. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that these kind of activities make students better learner and boosts their confidence for public speaking. She further maintained that these activities also make the students aware about the current scenario of country’s politics and motivates them to critically analyze the policies of the government. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Economics for organizing this fest.
