PG Department of Chemistry, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar has organised a Power Point Presentation Competition on the topic “Green Chemistry” dated 18^th October, 2021. Green Chemistry is at the frontiers of this continuously-evolving interdisciplinary to reduce the environmental impact of the chemical enterprise by developing a technology base that is inherently non-toxic to living things and the environment.  The aim of this event is to share the information and latest developments across the immense and distinct fields of green and sustainable chemistry. All the Post graduate students have enthusiastically participated in this event. The students described very well the applications of Green Chemistry in industrial and research areas. All the presentations were also followed by fruitful interactions with the audience to utilize renewable and biodegradable sources which will reduce the hazardous impact of various harmful resources on the environment. Akanksha Thakur (M.Sc. Sem III), Shweta (M.Sc. Sem I) and (Aanchal (M.Sc. Sem I) & Mandeep (M.Sc. Sem III)) bagged first, second and third positions, respectively. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the endeavour taken by the PG Department of Chemistry adding that it should be a regular feature in the curriculum.
