Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always motivate its students to excel in co- curricular activities along with the academics. In a new achievement, students of PG Department of Mathematics have brought laurels to the institution by bagging top positions in an Inter-college Maths Fest sponsored by DST, Govt. of India and Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh. Students participated in various events organised in this Fest such as Quiz Competition, Power Point Presentation, Mathematical Rangoli, Poster Presentation, Extempore and Debate. In this Fest, team ofAnjali, Simran Kaur and Mandeep Kaur  of B.Sc (Honours) Mathematics Sem VI got 1^st prize in Quiz Competition, Team of Vajinder Kaur of B.Sc (Honours) Mathematics Sem IVand Shaina Gupta of B.Sc (Honours) Mathematics Sem VI got second prize in Power Point Presentation on Applications of Vedic Mathematics. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students on their brilliant achievement. She averred that these kind of competitions provide a great platform to all the students who want to showcase their talent. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Mrs. Veena Deepak, Head, PG Department of Mathematics and other faculty members of Mathematics department for successfully guiding the students.
