Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a premier educational institution renowned for its commitment to holistic development, has embarked on a new journey towards community engagement and social responsibility. KMV commenced value-added social outreach program, aimed at empowering students to become catalysts for positive change in society.The inauguration ceremony for this compulsory value added program for semester IV undergraduate students was graced by Principal Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi, whose insightful address inspired students to embrace their roles as agents of social transformation. Prof. Dwivedi emphasised the importance of active participation in community initiatives and urged students to channel their energy towards addressing pressing social issues.Speaking about the significance of incorporating such activities into the academic curriculum, she averred that KMV, we believe in nurturing not only intellectual growth but also social consciousness among our students. By engaging in various social outreach initiatives, we empower our students to become responsible citizens who actively contribute to the betterment of society.This social outreach program marks a significant milestone in KMV’s ongoing commitment to fostering holistic development and instilling values of empathy and compassion in its students. Through collaborative efforts and community partnerships, KMV aims to create a ripple effect of positive change that transcends the boundaries of the campus and resonates throughout the wider society as this year only 512 students are actively engaged in community upliftment programs. As part of the inaugural event, a thought-provoking nukkad natak (street play) was also performed, focusing on various social issues prevalent in today’s society. Through the powerful medium of theatre, students showcased their creativity and passion for raising awareness about topics such as gender equality, environmental conservation, and education for all. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Monica Sharma, Dean, Social Outreach and other faculty members for successfully organising the program.
