Dr. Neetu Verma , Vice President and Innovation Ambassador KMV IIC was invited for a talk to share her achievements and experiences as an innovation ambassador in the 3rd regional meet of IIC institutions from North-West Region (J&K, HP, UK, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh UT) which was held at Chandigarh University on 26th July 2022. More than 450+ Faculty representatives from 270+ HEIs took part in this IIC regional meet along with 45+ Arts and Science colleges. 75+ innovations and 70+ IIC posters were also exhibited during the meet. More than 10+ incubators, state agencies, IP firms and ecosystem enablers from the state of Punjab and Haryana and Chandigarh were part of the round table discussion to strengthen their relation with educational institutions. Hon’ble Member Secretary, AICTE, Prof. Rajive Kumar had graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof Namita Gupta( HoD-CSE and IIC-MAIT President), Mr.Alok Sharma ( IIC-MAIT Convener), Mr Anupam Kumar (MAIT IIC- Innovation activity coordinator) and Prof M. L. Sharma ( HoD-IT and IIC Member) participated in the event.

Dr Neetu Verma started her talk to know the participants about her institution that has 136 years of glorious history. She acquainted the audience about the various innovative facilities created at her campus to inculcate innovations among young minds. She emphasized the importance of innovation ambassador training programs conducted by Ministry of Innovation Cell, Govt of India. She shared her innovative approach having various steps starting from idea pooling, mentoring ,  prototypes completion , presentations at national and international competitions. Dr. Verma made the participants aware about various Hackathons conducted by Ministry of Innovation cell, Govt of India and encouraged them to participate in such competitions. She shared her students achievements in Toycathon, Innovesta , Smart India Hackathon etc. She conveyed her approach by playing video on innovation hub and student’s speak. Her talk was very much informative and inspirational for the participants.
