Kanya Maha Vidyalaya the Autonomous & Heritage Institution, Jalandhar has been at the forefront in imparting quality education to the students. To fulfill this purpose KMV college organizes educational Trips during each semester. Educational trips inculcate critical thinking and experiential learning skills among students by giving them opportunity to visualize, experience and practical understanding of textual knowledge. Trips develop greater bond between students and teachers Under the able guidance of dynamic Madam Principal Dr. Atima Sharma, PG Department of Physics organized an educational Trip to Bhakra dam and Shri Anandpur sahib. 42 students along with  4 teachers of PG Department of Physics have gone on trip. At Bhakra Dam  Students got Knowledge about production of hydroelectric power . They came to know about many concepts of physics and about their applications. This Trip updated their knowledge and they got a demonstration of practical application of concepts of physics. At Anandpur Sahib students visited Virasat-e- Khalsa and learnt a lot about Guru Sahiban and about History of Punjab.Many demonstrations at Virasat-e-Khalsa were based on the various concepts of physics. Students related various theoretical concepts (especially Optics, mechanics and Electromagnetic) with practical learning.  Students have enjoyed a lot during this trip. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Atima Sharma proposed PG Department of Physics to organize fruitful educational trips in future also.
