Ending the gap between high school and higher education, students during this program gained an understanding of continuity in their life path
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully organised the Foundation Program for the undergraduate students. This program, running continuously for the past 14 years, has proven highly effective in bridging the gap between high school and higher education. Aimed at providing a strong foundation for the intellectual development of new students entering the college, it commenced with an innovative value-added program for undergraduate first-semester students.Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, during the program, interacted with students, emphasising upon the human story. Understanding the evolution of humanity alongside periodic social changes, technological developments, and innovations, she shed light on the simplicity of human life. Additionally, discussing “The KMV Experience – The Confluence Roundup of the Program,” she made students aware of the institution’s vision and mission. She also highlighted the continuous pioneering efforts by the institution, from its establishment to empower girls and women, and inspired students to embrace ethical values for positive thinking and the right path in life. This encouragement aims to enable them to continually progress with hard work towards fulfilling their life’s purpose.In this program, Dr. Vinod Kalra, Dr. Madhumeet, Mrs. Vanila, Dr. Gurjot Kaur, Mrs. Amarpreet Khurana, Dr. Monica, Mrs. Ashima Sahni, and other experienced faculty members provided appropriate knowledge to the students on various topics such as The Vedas and Indian Philosophy, Changing Paradigms in Society, Religion and Literature, The Journey of Women and Her Dream, Makers of Modern India, Racism Story of the West, Modern World at a Glance& My Nation My Pride. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Gurjot Kaur, Head, History Department and Dr. Monica Sharma, Director, Gandhian Studies Centre for successfully organising the programme.
