KMV organises a grand celebration of Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav to celebrate the unity in diversity represented by Indian languages

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a pioneer institution of women’s education, celebrated Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav with great fervour under the directions of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The event aimed to promote the diversity and richness of Indian languages, instilling a sense of pride and unity among students.The day long festival was marked by a variety of activitiesincluding poster making, slogan writing, debate, folk song performances, gamesand other fun-filled events. Students as well as faculty members actively participated in these activities showcasing their creativity, linguistic talent and cultural awareness.The poster-making and slogan-writingcompetitions highlighted the significance of preserving and promoting India’s linguistic heritage, while the debate provided a platform for students to express their views on language-related topics. Folk song performances celebrated the musical richness of regional languages, leaving the audience enthralled.Interactive games and fun activities added an element of joy to the event. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the Bhartiya Bhasha Utsav at KMV served as a vibrant reminder of the unity in diversity that Indian languages represent, inspiring students to cherish and contribute to the preservation of their linguistic and cultural heritage and emphasised the importance of Indian languages as carriers of rich traditions, cultureand identity. Madam Principal lauded the students and faculty for their active participation and creativity in making the event a success.Dr. Madhumeet, Dean, Languages & Student Welfare Department, Dr. Vinod Kalra, Head, PG Department of Hindi and Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Sanskrit were also present on the occasion.
