Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)Department of Biotechnologyorganized an educational visit to Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. The students were warmly welcomed by the GNDU faculty. During the visit, the students explored state-of-the-art laboratories, including the Plant Tissue Culture Lab, Microbiology Lab, Protein Lab and Animal Tissue Culture Lab. Students also attended the practical demonstration of innovative techniques such as plant tissue culture, enzyme-based biofuel production, protein purification and cell culture for vaccine development. The visit also highlighted entrepreneurial opportunities in sustainable agriculture, bioenergy and bio manufacturing, thus, inspiring students to integrate research with innovation in biotechnology. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the Department of Biotechnology for organizing such a valuable educational visit for the holistic development of the students.
