In an another major achievement, Dr. Sandeep Kaur from P.G. Department of Physics was recently awarded with Kiran Wise Post Doctoral Fellowship(PDF) from Department of Science and technology, Government of India, under the mentorship of Dr. Gopi Sharma. Dr. Kaur has done her Bachelor’s (Non. Medical) and Masters’ of Science (Physics) from KMV. She was awarded with IANS summer internship programme& also did her internship under Dr. Sanjay Jhinghan from Jamia MilliaIslamia, Delhi during her graduation.She did her Ph.D under the guidance of Dr. Neetu Vermaand Dr. O.P. Pandey, Professor, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. During her PhD Dr. Kaur, was also awarded with a six months ICTP TRIL fellowship from International Centre for ThoereticalPhysics (ICTP) and ENEA, Italy. During her fellowship she worked at Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), Italy under the guidance of Dr. Mauro Falconeri. She expressed her gratitude her teachers from the P.G. Department of Physics andMadam Principalfor providing her opportunities at various stages of her student life. She also thanked the Govt. of India for the grants like SERB project grants and DBT Star college schemes.Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Sandeep’s accomplishment is a testament to her hard work, dedicationand the exceptional education provided at KMV.
