Prof. (Dr.)  Sudhir Kumar Arya, Professor, Department of Sanskrit & Indic Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi explores the depth of Indian culture & knowledge during the talk

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a special lecture on Indian Culture and Knowledge System. Prof. Sudhir Kumar Arya, Professor, Department of Sanskrit and Indic Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He captivated the audience with his inspirational thoughts on various illustrious and exemplary aspects of Indian culture and knowledge tradition, including humility, grace, tolerance, self-defence, dedication, service, sacrifice, penanceand meditation.Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended a warm welcome to the distinguished speaker. She averred that KMV carries a rich legacy, and this lecture was organised as part of this tradition. During his lecture, Prof. Sudhir Arya emphasised that Indian culture embodies mutual love and harmony, the integration of the individual and collective, the harmony of knowledge and spirituality, familial happiness and cooperation, rigorous penance and meditation, and the spirit of welfare for the nation and society. He also highlighted that Indian culture seamlessly blends scholarly knowledge with practical life&encouraged the students to understand and embrace the values of Indian civilisation and culture in their lives. During the talk, he also discussed Ayurveda and Yajna as sciences that explain humanity’s relationship with nature. Praising Punjab’s civilisation and culture, he described it as a vibrant and tangible manifestation of Indian knowledge tradition. The students and faculty from all streams of the institution attended the lecture and benefited from it. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the whole organising committee for successfully organising the event.
