As an iconic institution of international repute, KMV continues to shine in various academic domains.The Postgraduate Department of Physics at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya recently hosted an insightful lecture titled “Breaking Barriers: Glass Science for Tomorrow,” featuring the esteemed Prof. Arun Varshneya, President of The Society of Glass Technology (SGT), Sheffield, UK, often referred to as the Glass Guru. His presentation, which seamlessly blended scientific precision with visionary foresight, captivated the audience with his deep knowledge of the evolving role of glass in modern technology and sustainable development.Prof. Varshneya shared groundbreaking insights into recent advances in glass science, highlighting its transformative potential in diverse sectors such as renewable energy, electronics, architecture, and biomedical applications.Dr.Varshneya also explained to students the process of chemical strengthening of glass, highlighting its significance in meeting the market demand for a chemically strengthened glass cartridge for EpiPens. He inspired the students to think big and strive for remarkable success.He also discussed the vital role of glass in the medical field.His talk emphasized the interdisciplinary nature of glass research, demonstrating how innovations in material science are helping to break traditional barriers and offer solutions to the challenges of the future.
