Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) marked the celebration of India’s 77th Independence Day with an impressive event that captured the true spirit of patriotism. The occasion was a resounding success, celebrating the unity and devotion that bind the nation together. Students took the spotlight, showcasing their exceptional skills through a variety of artistic performances. The event featured a captivating mix of modelling, face painting, dance, and poetry, each piece echoing the profound love for the country and its rich cultural heritage. The students’ performances honored the sacrifices made for independence while emphasizing the importance of preserving and safeguarding the freedom that was hard-earned.
A poignant moment of the celebration was the tribute to the brave women freedom fighters. Through their remarkable performances, students vividly brought to life the stories of these courageous women who fought side by side with their male counterparts for India’s freedom. Their portrayals highlighted the significant yet often overlooked contributions of these unsung heroines in the country’s struggle for independence.
The face painting and modelling displays were a visual testament to the deep bond between citizens and their homeland. Meanwhile, the dance performances and poetry recitations beautifully captured the essence of India’s journey toward progress and unity. Each graceful movement and every powerful word conveyed the students’ dedication to building a united, inclusive, and prosperous India.
Madam Principal Prof. Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her wishes for a happy Independence Day and reaffirmed KMV’s unwavering commitment to the cause of national freedom, a cause the institution has long supported through its active participation in the Indian freedom struggle. She emphasized that the celebration was a tribute to the freedom of the nation and cautioned against the dangers of divisive forces and the rising threat of drug addiction. Prof. Dwivedi also commended the efforts of Dr.Madhumeet, Dean of Student Welfare, Dr.Gurjot, Dean of ECA, Mrs.Veena Deepak, Co-ordinator of KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, and Ms.Geetika for their successful organization of the event.
