Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) hosted a two-day workshop titled “Campus Sustainability: Implementing Zero Waste Practices” under a research project funded by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The workshop was led by Dr.PardeepArora and Dr.HarpreetKaur, faculty members at KMV.
Dr.Harveen Kaur, an Environment and Sustainability Specialist from Delhi, was the keynote speaker. She discussed zero waste principles, emphasizing the importance of minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency. Dr.Kaur also addressed the environmental impact of electronic waste and the need for proper disposal and recycling.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed the guests and encouraged students to strengthen their commitment to Swachh Bharat and sustainable practices. The workshop provided valuable insights on waste management, sustainability, and the role of youth in shaping a cleaner, greener future.
