Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always emphasised on providing a comprehensive education fostering the development of essential skills, cultivating international perspectives and nurturing innovative thinking. Specifically, under autonomy it made special efforts to implement all the components of NewEducation Policy 2020. Recognizing the efforts put on by the institutions, the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, declared KMV as NEP SAARTHI in order to organize various activities to promote the objectives of NEP-2020. It is worth mentioning here that KMV has already implemented almost all the aspects of New Education Policy 2020. Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that as a multi-disciplinary institution, it is offering an impressive portfolio of 26 undergraduate programs, 21 postgraduate programs, 5 diploma courses and 28 certificate courses, all administered through its 34 dedicated departments. In the context of implementing inter disciplinary approach, it has introduced 6 interdisciplinary compulsory courses, to be opted in various semesters of UG and PG programmes, and seed money was also given for the interdisciplinary research. The college currently administers all its Under-graduate and Masters programs under a credit-based system, incorporating the concept of multiple entry and exit points. In addition, since 2021-22, the institution has registered with Digi Locker and Academic bank of Credits to record and transfer credits earned by during their studies.Furthermore, KMV’s curriculum reforms are meticulously crafted to ensure that learning outcomes not only meet rigorous quality standards but also align seamlessly with the dynamic requirements of both local and global contexts. At the heart of this academic transformation, the Board of Studies (BOS) for each of 34 departments, comprising eminent academicians from universities, experts from the industry and dedicated alumni, work relentlessly to frame best possible syllabus.To foster the element of skill among the students, KMV achieved  significant milestones like the establishment of the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Centre for Knowledge Acquisition and Livelihood’ (KAUSHAL KENDRA) under the aegis of the University Grants Commission (UGC). KMV takes immense pride in being the inaugural institution to receive this prestigious Skill Development Centre designation within the purview of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.To foster a profound sense of national pride and cultural appreciation among our students, the institution is dedicated to inspire students through value added programmes and participation in various activities to development of humanistic, ethical and Constitutional values.Delineate the strategy and details regarding the integration of the Indian Knowledge system (teaching in Indian Language, culture etc,) into the curriculum using both offline and online courses. Faculty is well trained to provide the classroom delivery in bilingual mode (English and vernacular). The college is actively engaged in the promotion and cultivation of Indian languages, offering dedicated courses in Sanskrit, Punjabi, and Hindi. status of these languages. Liberal scholarships and concessions are also offered to students of Hindi  and Punjabi. KMV has formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sanskrit Department of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, aimed at fostering the study of Sanskrit language and Indian culture. To address the issue of international collaborations, the institution has entered into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with esteemed foreign universities like University of Eotvos Lor and in Hungary, Boston University, ENEA Italy, and COE College USA. These partnerships encompass a wide range of activities, including student and faculty exchanges, virtual visits, and invited lectures, demonstrating our commitment to international academic engagement. Principal Prof. Dwivedi encouraged the students to participate with full zeal and enthusiasm in various activities that will be organised under this brilliant initiative.
