The entire fraternity of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), stood in profound solidarity with the victims and families affected by the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Expressing deep sorrow and anguish over the loss of innocent lives, the staff and students of the institution observed a one-minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed souls. Following the silent tribute, a solemn candle lighting ceremony was also organized. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi along with the faculty members and students gathered together, holding candles as a symbol of remembrance, peace, and solidarity with those impacted by the devastating incident. The atmosphere was filled with quiet reflection and a shared sense of grief. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi conveyed her heartfelt condolences and averred that KMV stands firmly with the bereaved families in this hour of unimaginable sorrow. This senseless violence has shaken us all, and we offer our deepest sympathies and unwavering support to those who have lost their loved ones. This tribute is a small gesture of our collective grief and our hope for peace and healing. She further maintained that KMV being a nationalistic institution believes in the power of collective solidarity and stands united in condemning all forms of violence. Today’s event underscores the KMV’s commitment to fostering empathy, compassion, and a sense of responsibility towards societal events.
