Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always makes consistent efforts to enhance the practical skills and knowledge of the students. In continuation with this practice, Post Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration organized an industrial visit to Nexus Mal of Amritsar. The objective of the visit was to give practical exposure to the students of M.Com, B.Com (Pass and Honours), B.Com (Honours), M.Com (FYIP) and B.B.A in order to familiarize them with the marketing strategies followed by different brands under one roof. More than 100 students and five teachers went for this industrial visit. The students interacted with sales managers of different outlets and enquired about the prospects of internships in different retail stores.The students also witnessed the Beating Retreat Ceremony at Attari Wagah Border, Amritsar which is a spectacle where Indian and Pakistani soldiers perform a synchronized march and flag lowering ritual with extreme pride and military precision. The energetic performance by our BSF soldiers inculcated nationalistic zeal and fervor in our students and they expressed their fervency and respect for our nation by dancing to the tunes of various patriotic songs. Students found this visit very informative and interesting.
