KMV Alumni body- Pearls boasts of a rich galaxy of luminous stars. Having scaled heights in their lives by dint of their education at this prestigious institution, these alumni look back at their alma mater with pride. KMV hosts its annual alumni meets to make them relive fond memories of their association with their alma mater and also help maintain these ties forever.
KMV Alumni Meet-Pearls 2021 once again reiterated its claim. This online mega event provided a platform to all the alumni of this glorious institution to share their success stories and inspire others. It welcomed its alumni from as early as the batch of 1955-56 as well as others. A documentary showcasing the achievements of KMV was featured alongwith glimpses of previous years’ alumni meets. It was followed by a fashion show highlighting the creativity of the students of KMV. Videos showing dance performances of
the students were played. Notable alumni of KMV, having established themselves in different walks of life participated in the event and expressed their heartfelt sentiments. These included Dr. Sushma Chawla, Mrs. Anuradha Sondhi, Dr. Narinder Sandhu, Prof. Ujla Joshi, Mrs. Penny Sandhu, Ms Rupinder, Ms Naina Bhasin Behl and many more. The closing of the event saw the conferring of the Champion of Change award on the most deserving alumna of KMV. This year the honour was bestowed on Ms Navpreet Kaur-Actor and Model; Ms Anjali Srivastava- Co-Founder & Director Codefire Technologies, Ms Abha Nagar, Advocate District Courts and High Court; Ms Gurjot Kaur, Senior Executive, Ajit Group of Newspapers and worthy Principal KMV, Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi.

It is the most treasured occasion to acknowledge the hard work and perseverance of our brilliant students who strive ceaselessly throughout the year to be the pioneers. The award ceremony is organised not only to celebrate the achievements of our students, but also to give due regard to KMV values and morals like discipline, compassion, hard work and zeal for learning which these awardees exemplify.

She further maintained that with a motto of empowering women, KMV has overcome manychallenges and successfully established itself as one of the best autonomous colleges in the country. During her presentation, Prof. Dwivedi eloquently explained the various academic reforms that have initiated at KMV under autonomy. Prof. Dwivedi also acquainted everyone with all the new age programs including Honours programs and various value added courses offered only at KMV much to the benefit of the students. Prof. Dwivedi also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Dr Jaspal Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for constantly guiding and mentoring KMV at every step. Mr ChanderMohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal addressing the gathering congratulated the whole KMV family for this glorious achievement. He averred that KMV has been working for women empowerment since its inception and is a torchbearer for women education in the country. He also lauded the serious efforts done by Principal and the whole KMV staff in uplifting the standards of higher education at KMV& said that it is the prime duty of every teacher to reach to each student in this uncertain time so that no student should feel neglected. Dr Karamjeet Singh, Vice Chancellor, Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University was highly appreciative of all the endeavours undertaken by KMV and said that KMV has successfully becomea role model for other institutions. Dr Suman Sharma, Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi averred that she feels honour to be associated with such an iconic and historic institution of our country. She said that KMV paved the way for the other women education institutions in India. Dr. S.S. Chahal, Former Vice Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipurlauded the efforts of KMV in providing quality based world class education to the students. He maintained that KMV is one of the foremost institutions that is also imparting skill based education to the girls for their holistic development. Dr Nikhil Kumar, Education Officer, UGCaverred that KMV is a role model institution that has successfully harnessed the concept of autonomy. He further said that it is very satisfactory to witness the progress and growth of KMV under autonomy as KMV is an institution that has lived up to its mark. During the occasion, a video of students were also shown expressing their love and appreciation for KMV. Mr Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee proposed a Vote of Thanks to all the esteemed guests. He adumbrated that motivating words of all the eminent and distinguished scholars &guests will continue to inspire KMV. Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English was the moderator for the event. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of whole organising committee for successfully organising the celebrations.
