Alumni Speaks is a series of inspirational talks organized by KanayMahaVidyalaya where the brilliant alumni of our college are invited to talk and give meaningful insights to the students. The Alumni Talk – Knowing the job market was organized by PG Department of Computer Science and Applications under which Ms. Yukta Mayor who is currently working as an Information Security Administration Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, visited the campus to interact with the students.

Worthy Madam Principal Prof.Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed Ms. YuktaMayor  along with members of  Computer department in her office, and interacted her on her role/position at TCS office . Ms. Yukta  is working with Tata Consultancy Services, Maharashtra as Information Security Administration Engineer since the past 2 years and motivated her to do still bigger and to continue her passion for music and singing as well. She appreciated her for.

The session took place around 11:00 am with a brief introduction to the college and department. Following that, the podium was handed over to Ms. Yukta. She conducted a very interactive session about the job market and shared her own experiences.

Here are a few things that she covered in her session:

1. Her journey from college to corporate
2. How to apply for various MNCs
3. The process of interview
   1. The skillset needed
   2. The types of questions asked in interviews
   3. Some tips on how to answer the interviewer
4. Focus on Problem Solving and Coding along with Fundamentals

1. She made them realize that Fundamentals plays a very important role for Students; they need to focus on fundamentals and Computer Programming Languages.
2. Students need to Challenge their selves-every day to reach at their desired goals.
3. The students should take help from their mentors.
4. Motivated students to build good skills.
5. Explained various rounds of interviews and how to prepare for those rounds.
6. Importance of Internships, one must do at least two or three.

At the end, she advised students not to waste time and utilize that time to build good set of skills and  to make their profiles on various Job Portals. In the end she wrapped the session with an interactive Q/A session. Vote of thanks by given by student of BCA Sem fifth – Ms. MuskanVerma.
