KanyaMahaVidyalaya Jalandhar, a pioneer institute of women education in Northern India and uplifting academic standards towards excellence by developing and promoting new age innovative programmes.The college organizes various innovative activities for inculcating innovative spirit among students. These competitions are organized every year with the objective to provide a platform for the students to showcase their talent. To carry the baton ahead, the Department of Science organized an intra college idea pooling event Antaragni and received an overwhelming response from students of different departments. The motive of this event is to develop various skills of students and to expose them to the current trends in the technical and professional fields. The event includes submission of Innovation ideas, prototypes and start-ups. The event was organized on 6th September 2022.The event was successful enough as around200 students’ registered for this event and students showcased their talent.Almost 122 innovation ideas, 54 prototypes and 30 start-up ideas were received and evaluated.
The prototypes were developed from projects submitted under Hackathon Event organized by the Department of Science. The best projects submitted by the students were mentored by the teachers of this institute as well as mentored from relevant experts of national repute.
From the submitted entries, best innovative ideas, prototypes and start-ups were selected and students were encouraged with prizes under three categories.These selected ideas, prototypes and start-ups were submitted to YUKTI- National Innovation Repository (NIR) program of Institution’s Innovation Council, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.Total 124 students registered under this program, and submitted 65 innovation ideas, 35 prototypes and 20 start-ups. These submitted applications were verified by experts and 64 innovative ideas, 33 prototypes and 19 start-ups were recommended from our institution.
The institution is backed by a team of very dedicated faculty and students and the efforts put in by everyone have barred the institution with the fruits.
