Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has been at the forefront in imparting quality education to the students. In this regard, the VIPNET club of P.G. Department of Physics celebrated the 103^rd birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, Father of the Indian Space Program. In the event the presentation was delivered which covered his will to establish a Science Community in our country and achievements. The event was attended by the post graduate and undergraduate Physics students. The event commenced by introducing the students with the motive of VIPNET club and also the responsibilities performed by VIPNET faculty members and student members. Vikram Sarabhai Science Society of Physics Department comes under the prestigious VIPNET (Vigyan Prasar Network club) of government of India. The VIPNET club of Physics department is one of three clubs in Punjab upgraded to Silver Category with their hard work. Further, the students explained about the achievements and life of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. Students discussed the role of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in the Indian Space Program.  At the end of the event, a small interactive quiz out of shared information was organized to boost the participation of students and winners were awarded with  small tokens of gifts. Prof.(Dr.) Atima Dwivedi, Principal appreciated the efforts of event organizers and students. Mrs. Parminder Cheema, HOD Physics department concluded the session with vote of thanks and encouraged the students to show their maximum participation in further upcoming events.
