On 11th ,October 2023 an Expert talk on “Creative and Innovations” was organized by KMV IIC in association with P.G. Department of Physics. Dr. Surbhi Sharma, Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of Physics, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar was the resource person. Students with B.A., B.Sc Non Medical, B.Sc Medical, B.Sc Computer Science, B.Voc background along with faculty attended the talk.

The resource person explained about the concept of creativity and innovation and why both these terms are important for an entrepreneur and for managing entrepreneurship. She said the creativity and innovation helps to develop new ways of improving an existing product or service to optimize the business. While implementing creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship new, interesting, potential yet versatile idea come up which will take the concern to the next level.

The resource person also stated that in order to be creative, students must have the courage to try new things and experiment with different ideas. Creativity needs to be fostered in a way that allows students the freedom to explore their ideas without fear of being judged or ridiculed. Creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship are important things to launch each innovative products and services that comes with advanced technology. The entrepreneur can attract new customers by the qualities that they display but keep them for a long term by sustaining the quality of the product or services.

She also elaborated the concept of “Frugal Innovation” to students. Frugal innovations are simple products or services often born out of necessity and lack of resources, built by the people who need them the most with locally sourced materials. Frugal innovations also tend to use fewer resources than alternative products or services, and do so in a sustainable manner. She added.
