Five Faculty members and one student of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar an autonomous and heritage institution got selected to participate in the 3rd regional meet of IIC institutions from North-West Region (J&K, HP, UK, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh UT) which was held at Chandigarh University on 26th July 2022. More than 450+ Faculty representatives from 270+ HEIs took part in this IIC regional meet along with 45+ Arts and Science colleges. 75+ innovations and 70+ IIC posters were also exhibited during the meet. More than 10+ incubators, state agencies, IP firms and ecosystem enablers from the state of Punjab and Haryana and Chandigarh were part of the round table discussion to strengthen their relation with educational institutions. Hon’ble Member Secretary, AICTE, Prof. Rajiv Kumar had graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Prof Namita Gupta( HoD-CSE and IIC-MAIT President), Mr.Alok Sharma ( IIC-MAIT Convener), Mr Anupam Kumar (MAIT IIC- Innovation activity coordinator) and Prof M. L. Sharma ( HoD-IT and IIC Member) participated in the event.

During the event an impact lecture on IIC model, participatory approach, achievements and performance maximization through quality participation of HEI’s was delivered by Sh. Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation  Director. Followed by the impact lecture a round table interaction sessions on various topics like Engaging regional ecosystem enablers were conducted. Various knowledge sharing sessions were also organized like Visualizing and developing action plan for an I&E ecosystem, Benchmarking, measuring I&E ecosystem in HEI, Session on IP and Technology transfer. Overall the event was very interesting and updated faculty about the need for existing innovation policies.
