Physics students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya participated in National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) , an annual competition which assesses and nurtures keen observational skills, analytical skills, and experimental skills of an Indian student in Physics. The National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) is organized by The National Anveshika Network of India (NANI) in association with Shiksha Sopan under the leadership of Padma Shri Prof H C Verma ( IIT Kanpur). Organising such kind of annual competitions is one of the best methods to spread love of Physics among students and to assess the talented young Physicists among students. Total of 23649 students all over the nation have registered for the screening round and 1008 got selected for the prelims round. KMV Jalandhar, the autonomous and heritage institute, brings this valuable opportunity for the students at KMV. The faculty of P.G. Department of Physics, KMV mentored  the students and made them aware of the importance and benefits of ]participating in such competitions. Dr. Neetu Verma who is associated with the organisation team mentored the students and guided the interested students.

KMV Physics students appeared in the Screening round of NAEST conducted in June 2023 where the questions were based on short videos of Physics phenomena/experiments. Navneet Kaur, student of B.Sc. Non Med Sem IV and Amisha Sharma, student of B.Sc. Computer Science Sem IV ,P.G. Department of Physics, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar have cleared the screening round of National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test and qualified for the Prelims round of NAEST. These students were examined for the next round based on performance of experimental skills in the month of Aug,2023.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Atima Sharma congratulates Physics faculty and the winners of NAEST. She motivates and encourages the winners to compete in the upcoming next level of NAEST so as to bring laurels for the institute.
