NAEST is an annual competition which assesses and nurtures keen observational skills, analytical skills, and experimental skills of an Indian student in physics. The National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) is organised by The National Anveshika Network of India (NANI) in association with Shiksha Sopan. Many students across the country number of students have registered for the screening round and few students were selected for the prelims round. NAEST-2022 was conducted in three stages – (i) screening (ii) prelims (iii) finals. In the Screening stage , the questions were based on short videos of physics phenomena/experiments. In Prelims, the students had been given a write-up of the experiments. The student had performed the experiment at home based on the experimental write-up provided to them. The students will be evaluated on multiple criteria. In the Final Stage, students were called to Kanpur for performing experiments.

Haramanpreet Kaur, student of M.Sc. Physics, P.G. Department of Physics, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar has cleared the screening round of NANI-2022 and qualified for the Prelims round of NAEST 2022. She has competed with the 32 participants of Indian North Colleges under the allotted center.  She has successfully exhibited experimental skills of planning and designing the experimental set up and then conducting three innovative experiments at the home laboratory for Prelims round. She has participated in the Senior category for college students pursuing pure sciences & gave her outshining performance in this test.  She has received the certificate of participation duly signed by Prof. H.C. Verma , President (Shiksha Sopan) & President (IAPT).
