Objectives of the Workshop:
- To Promote the importance of Entrepreneurship and innovation as career opportunity andinculcate skillset required for a young graduate.
- To stimulate the overall architecture of the Entrepreneurship life cycle and how studentcan create innovative product by undertaking relevant methods.
- To demonstrate global entrepreneurship activity – growing share of India and differenttypes of entrepreneurships.
BENEFITS OF LEARNING:The participants were able to:
- To understand the basics of Entrepreneurship and its Importance in modern society
- Skill set required to become an entrepreneur and how to convert simple idea into an innovation.
- Key performance indicator of a graduate likely to become an entrepreneur.
A One DayWorkshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunity” was organized by Institution & Innovation Council (IIC) in association with PG Department of Chemistry, KanyaMahaVidyalaya, Jalandhar on 16 October 2023. The Program targeted to provide opportunities to Undergraduate students, Postgraduate students and Faculty members to expand their dexterities in various significant facets involved in building Career Opportunities in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.A total of 260 students and 35 faculties from both host institution and outside participated in the workshop (hybrid mode), where Dr. T. Pavan Kumar, a Senior Scientist specializing in Chemistry and serving as the IPR Ethics Officer and Secretary of the Standing Ethics Committee SEC, as well as the Coordinator for MAITRI Faculty at CSIR(IMMT), Bhubaneshwar,demonstrated the process of Entrepreneurship statistics of India and life cycle of Entrepreneurship. The Expert Mr. Kumar has elucidated on how to be an entrepreneur focusing on core areas of the Business building like the relationship between Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Types of Entrepreneurs, Functions of an Entrepreneur, Barriers to Entrepreneurship, Qualities of an Entrepreneur, Circle diagram for startup, Internal & External Factors of Entrepreneurship and finally pondered on ‘My startup story and Innovation’.
