Career Counseling and Placement Cell of KanyaMahaVidyalaya, Jalandhar organizeda mega event on the topic of “Generative AI”for the students of Computer Science & Applications department in association with GoogleDev Community. The main objective of this session on DevCommunityRoadshow  2024 Gen AI Edition was to bring the developers and students to a common platform , so that the students watch and explore the upcoming and existing technologies. Roadshow aimed to bring together a mix of Industry Experts, Academic Researchers & Corporate Developers to help learn, discover and build. Four technical sessions were organized, sessions were taken by Mr. Simarpreet Singh, Mr. Veer Pratap Singh, Ms.Loveleen Kaur and Mr. Pranav Singh.

At the outset, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KanyaMahaVidyalaya, Jalandhar welcomed the team of GoogleDev Community. She emphasized on the importance of Artificial Intelligence in modern era and motivated students to participate in all the sessions with enthusiasm.  She presented the tokens of gratitude to all the resource persons.

The first session was presented by Mr. Simarpreet Singh. He started by explaining the basic concept behind generative AI and its model to be used for forecasting future. The importance of effective training of AI model was showcased by the presenter. He presented the role of prompt in a very interesting manner using real world examples and input from the participants. He made the students aware  about various disciplines like marketing, sales, Information Technology  etc. and emphasized on the fact that AI cannot replace humans as it have its own set of limitations in present scenario.

The second session was presented by Ms. Loveleen Kaur on the topic of Improved Android experience with AI. She presented the use of AI in mobile applications through various real world examples. She shared the concept of Google badges for solving minor to major tasks. She also provided a roadmap for learning the Android App Development. Finally, she concluded the session by explaining the importance of LinkedIn in the professional life of a human being.

The third session was presented by Mr. Veer Pratap Singh on the topic of “Easy Web Development with Gen AI”. He presented many examples of web applications for giving students a glimpse of what Gen AI can bring to the field of web development. GenAI streamlines web development process. He also gave hands-on session to the participants.

The final session was presented by Mr. Pranav Singh on the concept of GenAI in Web Development. The focus of his talk was on developing Flutter web applications at faster rate using Gen AI. He explained the flow of flutter application in details. He touched upon minute topics related to machine and deep learning as well. Through various illustrations he presented how GenAI streamlines the process of web development and reduce the human efforts on many tedious tasks. 160 students from four colleges and universities participated in this event.

After the end of the session, students asked their queries about the future challenges of AI and their possible solutions. The resource-persons effectively replied to their queries.Vote of thanks was presented by Ms. Tannu Suman – BCA student of KMV Jalandhar.

Principal, KanyaMahaVidyalaya, Jalandhar applauded the efforts of Dr. Suman Khurana, HoD Computer Science and Dean – Placement Cell andher fellow colleagues for organizing such important sessions on the current technologies for the betterment of students.She motivated the staff to conduct such events frequently in future also.
