P.G. Department of Economics has organized the social outreach programme for the students of B.Sc. (Economics) Sem-IV at PRAYAS (Special School for Mentally Disabled Children), Maqsudan, Jalandhar on 10th March, 2023. Our social work project involved providing stationary items and games to mentally disabled children. The students distributed playing games, stationary items like drawing books, colours, pencils and sharpeners etc. to the mentally disabled children. They also organized fun games for the children. At the end, the children were given chocolates which left them with joyous moments. Through this initiative, we aimed to promote their cognitive and social development, and enhance their overall quality of life. Our efforts were well received by the children. We hope to continue making a positive impact in their lives.
