SOCIAL OUTREACH PROGRAMME ON TREE PLANTATION CAMP Back

G. Department of Economics of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has organized a tree Plantation camp under Social Outreach Programme at Guru Nanak Mission Public School in Village Dalla, Bhogpur (Jal.) on 22nd April, 2022. The students of B.Sc. (Eco.) Sem-IV have participated in tree Plantation camp. They have planted various kinds of fruit plants like Mango, Pomegranate, Jamun, Banana etc., medicinal plants like Neem, Amla and, seasonal and decorative plants and also explained the benefits of these plants to school students. The students of B.Sc. (Eco.) interacted with school students and made them aware about many environmental issues like deforestation, soil erosion, air pollution and global warming. They are informed about how to combat with these issues through the tree plantation which will enhance the beauty and ecological balance of environment. The students of the school are also acquainted with these issues and role of tree plantation through the charts. They are encouraged to plant more trees and take care of these trees daily to keep the environment safe. The Principal ‘S. Bikram Singh Saini’ of Guru Nanak Mission Public School appreciated the efforts of KMV students to promote environment welfare and assure that the students of school campus shall look after these plants planted by KMV students.
