World Rose Day Back

PG Department of Chemistry, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar organized online National Level creative event on World’s Rose Day dated 22nd September 2021. The world rose day is celebrated to spread awareness, give hope and to cheer the people fighting from cancer. During this event, entitled “Welfare of Cancer Patients” large number of students participated with full enthusiasm. Competitions such as poster making and video message on Cancer awareness were held. This National level event was conducted online via zoom platform, where the students with best poster and video message were selected and rewarded for their creative ideas. In the category of poster making (Junior level) Navroop Kaur (10 +1), Amitoz Kaur (10 +1) and Simran Kaur got first, second and third positions, respectively.  For poster making (Senior level) Ankita Thakur (B.Sc NM Sem 5) got first position, Shajia Salama and Vanshika Babbar got second position and Dilpreet Kaur (B.Sc NM Sem 5)  and Gifty (M.Sc Sem 3) got third positions. Likewise in the category of video making (Junior level) Lovepreet Kaur (10+1), {Sakshi (10+1), Navya Sarohi (6th class)} and {Harmanpreet Kaur and Anshika (10+1)} got first, second and third positions, respectively. For video making (Senior level) {Pankti Chhaya (Vadodara), Haramanpreet Kaur (B.Sc NM Sem 5)}, Simran Sharma (B.Sc NM Sem 3) and Akshita (M.Sc. Sem 1) bagged first, second and third positions, respectively. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi applauded the efforts taken by the Faculty of PG Department of Chemistry for conducting online session in this pandemic and said that such endeavors should be a regular feature.
