Another Milestone in the Journey of KMV

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) is trailblazing new achievements. Adding another feather to its cap, P.G. Department of Fashion Designing which is ranked again topmost in ‘Best Value for Money Category’ in India and amongst Top 30 colleges of India as per India Today Survey 2020 has achieved the singular honour of receiving total four copyrights in Design from Copyright Office, Government of India. Minaal a research scholar of the department has been awarded IPR for Innovative Tiny Scraps Madhubani Wall Embellishment. Shelly Sharma, another research scholar of Fashion Designing department got a copyright for Adaptive Clothing for the differently abled.Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred thatthe main motive behind this creative endeavour was to give the students a creative outlet to hone their skills and to experiment with innovative paradigmsPrincipal. She furthermaintained thatKMV believes that a prerequisite required to make a good career in the fashion industry and research is creativity. She averred that KMV has empowered the women by giving them the required skills in fashion designing and other disciplines so that they should become self reliant in this highly competitive world. Madam Principal congratulated Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Head, PG Department of Fashion Designing for taking this initiative and receiving her fourth IPR.
