Spreads awareness about the causes & prevention of the disease
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organisedan online Quiz Competition to celebrate World Leprosy Day. The quiz was organised by Department of Bio-Technology. This event helped in making students more aware about leprosy as they got an opportunity to celebrate people who have experienced leprosy, raise awareness for the diseaseand call for an end to leprosy-related stigma and discrimination.More than 50 students participated in this competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the students & faculty members for organising such awareness event. She averred that KMV always organise various health awareness activities for the students in the form of health camps organised at campus, expert talks from renowned doctors of the city, free medical check-up camp for the students, blood donation camps, counselling sessions & yoga camps for the students etc. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Department of Biotechnology for successfully organising the event.
