Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)celebrated World Ozone Day to sensitise students regarding global environmental issues. The theme for this year Ozone Day isMontreal Protocol @ 35: Global Co-operation protecting life on earth. To mark the celebrations, PG Department of Life Sciences, Department of Student Welfare & NCC in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organised poster making, slogan writing & rangoli making competitions. More than 200 students participated in these events to showcase the creativity and made posters, slogans & rangoli depicting environmental problems and also showcased the significance of life saving ozone layer and measures to prevent global warming. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi graced the occasion with her presence and lauded the efforts of the students and teachers for their participation and efforts. She averred that it is the social responsibility of every citizen to make the environment clean and green.She further maintained that it is very important that younger generation should be made responsible towards the environment conservation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet , Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Head, PG Department of Zoology & Environmental Sciences& Ms Sufalicafor successfully organising the celebrations.

The results for the rangoli making competition level-1 are as follows:

1^st Prize- Shiya Bano, Pawandeep Kaur and Sukhmanpreet Kaur

2^nd Prize- Anu Jangra, Muskanpreet Kaur and Payal Sharma

3^rd Prize- Nimanshi, Anamika and Preeti

Level-2 results for rangoli making are:

1^st Prize- Lovepreet Kaur, Guneet Kaur and Tanvir Kaur

2^nd Prize- Gurkiran Kaur, Navjot and Komal

3^rd Prize- Manroop Kaur, Falak Bhatia and Komalpreet Kaur
