Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Ranked No.1 College in India by India Today Ranking observed the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas( National Unity Day) in order to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the man behind the unification of our country. The aim of the celebration was to pay a rich tribute to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhai Patel, by remembering his extraordinary works done for the country. The event was organized by the Department of Physical Education and the Department of Student Welfare. On this occasion, Principal, teachers and the students of KMV took an oath for the unification of our country in which they pledged to keep the country united. The pledge was also taken to maintain the communal harmony in the country and to work for the betterment and the development of the country. On the occasion, the students of KMV paid glorious tributes to Sardar Patel whose ideals hold a lot of relevance in the contemporary national scenario. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this is a very great day for our country as any country who wish to tread on the path of the development needs to stay united and all the teachers and the students of KMV have pledged to fulfill the dream of our great freedom fighters to stay united and work for the development of the country together. She further said that the KMV has always been a frontrunner in providing its contribution to the nation building and these types of celebrations are a great source of motivation for the younger generation to follow the noble ideas of our great forefathers. On this occasion the students organized a run to spread the message of National Unity. The spirited students were holding placards and shouting slogans of national integration & unity.
Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded Mrs Ashoo Bajaj, Head, Department of Physical Education, Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Mrs Suman Khurana, Head, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications for taking this initiative.
