Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)organised an online lecture under International series (Chemistry Chapter) on Supramolecular Chemistry and its Intriguing Potential Applications. The lecture was organised by PG Department of Chemistry. In order to inculcate the scientific temperament and curiosity of research among students, an initiative has been taken by KMV to organise interactive sessions with scientists of international repute.The lecture was attended by more than 200 students with full zeal and enthusiasm.Dr. Subhamay Pramanik, Department of Chemistry, Kansas University, USA was the resource person for the lecture. Dr. Pramanik during his lecture provided a brief overview of the importance of supramolecular chemistry in order to understand the interaction of molecules and various spectroscopic techniques for its characterization.His interaction made it easier for KMVites to understand the fundamentals of spectroscopy techniques. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of P.G. Department of Chemistryfor organising such an interactive live talk with renowned scientists. She averred that students as well as faculty have availed this wonderful opportunity to learn the concepts of science from international scholars which otherwise could have never been possible.
