KMV Organises National Level Online Competition to Celebrate National Chemistry Week

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) & Outlook Magazine celebrated the National Chemistry Week by organising one week National Level online event with the theme “Sticking with Chemistry” . The celebrations were organised by the PG Department of Chemistry. During this event, large number of students participated in various activities with full zeal &enthusiasm. Variouscompetitions such as quiz, poster making& video making on how to make homemade glue and chemistry through art and craft were held. Nearly 1500  participants registered for the national level online quiz conducted during the event. The candidates who successfully cleared the quiz were also awarded withe-certificates. The students with best poster, art and craft and video clippings activities were selected and rewarded for their creative ideas. In the category of Poster making Mandeep kaur (M.Sc. Chem Sem I), YashikaArora (B.Sc. (Med) Sem I) and Muskan Gill (B.Sc (Med) Sem III) got first second and third positions respectively. In the category of video making, Nitika B.Sc.(NM) Sem III), Pratibha (B.Sc. (Med) Sem III) and  Ashna  (B.Sc. (Med) Sem III) got first second and third positions respectively. Likewise, in the category of Art and craft activity Aditi Pathania (BSc (NM) Sem I), Rajbir kaur (B.Sc. (Med) Sem I) and Muskan Gill B.Sc. (Med) Sem III) bagged first, second and third positions respectively. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students on their achievements. She averred that this type of initiatives motivate the students to develop the scientific aptitude in their minds. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of PG Department of Chemistry for organising the event successfully.
