Students Prepare Beautiful Posters Depicting the Application of Pi in Daily Life
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) organised State level Online Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition in order to commemorate Pi Day. Thetheme of this competition was “Application of Pi in Arts, Science, Information Technology and in Nature”. Students from various Schools, Colleges and Universitiesof Punjab participated in this competition with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students beautifully designed their posters and Slogans with mathematicalapplications of Pi. Ms Anand Prabha and Ms Natasha Sharma fromPG Department of Mathematics were the judges for the event.Principal Prof. Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the students for enhancing their mathematics skills through poster making and slogan writing competition and for exploring the world outside the classroom. She congratulated all the winners and lauded the efforts of Mrs Veena Deepak, Head, PG Department of Mathematics for organising such a wonderful event that would help to create interest and impart knowledge of Mathematical Constant Pi in young and vibrant minds.
