Dr. Kanchan, lecturer in Mathematics Government Polytechnic College and Alumni of PG Department of Mathematics was the resource person.She started her talk on career in Mathematics through Power PointPresentation.She empathized on the fact that apart from becoming Mathematicians or a Mathematics teacher, there are several other career options for the students of Mathematics after graduation and post-graduation like Actuarial analyst, Cryptographer, Data Scientist, Statistician, Financial Analyst, Statistician, Quantitative Analyst, Operation Research Analyst, Risk Manager, and many more.After that she also enlightened the students with the idea of startups in Mathematics&motivated that the students of mathematics can be a good entrepreneur and can start their own educational firms. At the end, she demonstrated the government initiative for opening new startup schemes like Atal Innovation Mission, MUDRA Bank, Software Technology Park and Atamnirbhar Bharat app. The session was quite interactive as the students asked various questions regarding startups in Mathematics. Principal Prof Dr.Atima Sharma Dwivedi expressed her gratitude for the resource person and lauded the efforts of Mrs Veena Deepak and all the faculty members of PG Department of Mathematics for taking initiatives to make the students abreast of various career options available to them after their graduation and post graduation in Mathematics.
