Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) in collaboration with 36-North Jalandhar, constituency organized SVEEP “Special Voter Registration Camp” in the college campus. The camp was organizedjointly by the Department of Political Science, NSS and Department of Student Welfare. The voter registration drive was conducted for the students in which students who have attained the age of eighteenparticipated with full zeal and enthusiasm.During this occasion, Sh. Surjit Lal, SVEEP Nodal officer of Jalandhar, Sh. Rakesh Kumar (Election Kanungo) and his teamtrained the students for voter registration by using the voter helpline app.Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedion this occasion emphasized on the importance of vote in a democratic setup. She further maintained that younger generation should participate completely in the electoral process of our country. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Mrs. AshimaSahni, Dr. Sonik Bhatia, Dr. Iqbal Singh and Ms.Zeenat for smoothly conducting the SVEEP voter registration camp.
