Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) makes various efforts from time to time to remove the dilemmas and doubts related to the education and career choice of the students. In this series, an interactive webinar was organised by KMV on the topic Education for the New World Careers: Know the Right Perspectives in which Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was the resource person. While addressing the students, Prof. Dwivedi explained in detail the importance of education in human life and described it as a strong basis for every work in life. She averred that for the real attainment of higher education, students should very seriously choose the institution from where they have to start theireducation. Answering various questions asked by the students during the session, she first discussed about the autonomous status obtained by the institution and many other vital reforms and changes brought in the field of education, as well as the student friendly examination system for thebenefit of the students. Answering the questions related to education in the context of employment opportunities, she averred that keeping in view the needs of 21st century, each department of KMV organises Board of Studies meeting for the syllabus upgradation of the respective programs as it has been upgraded by making necessary changes and keeping in mind the global demand, moreover, many new age programs have also been started by KMV, through which the students will be able to get various employment opportunities. Along with this, she also emphasised on the need to acquire real knowledge of any subject along with the bookish knowledge and told that the state-of-the-art laboratories in KMV provide real knowledge of the subject to the students and enhance their skills. Answering the question related to job placement, she told that Kanya Maha Vidyalaya actively works for the placement of the students, as a result of which the students here are making the institution proud while working in various government and private organisations. Moreover, keeping in view the trend of the students, many interdisciplinary and add-on courses have also been started by the college. Answering various questions related to scholarship, Prof. Dwivedi said that in Kanya Maha Vidyalaya it is always taken care that no student should be deprived of education due to financial constraints and for this the college provides scholarship to the needy students. The students who participated in the session expressed their gratitude to the Madam Principal and said that the information received during this webinar will surely make their path to success easier.
