KMV proudly announces that its 5-years student of P.G. Department of Physics and research scholar in Serb-Project, Haramanpreet Kaur, has been awarded a significant travel grant to present her research work at an international conference in Vancouver, Canada. This achievement further solidifies KMV’s recognition as a leading center for scientific innovation and research.

The P.G. Department of Physics at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has diligently cultivated a research-oriented environment that complements its academic program. Consequently, faculty and students of Physics Department regularly contribute to national and international conferences. This dedication is exemplified by Haramanpreet Kaur, an MSc Physics student and Project Assistant in a government-funded research project at KMV, who has received a $2,500 travel grant from the organizers of the ACerS Glass and Optical Materials Division Meeting (GOMD 2025). This prestigious grant will enable her to present her research abstract, “Terahertz and Optical Properties of Different Oxide-Based Glasses,” at the conference, scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 9, 2025, in Vancouver.

The GOMD 2025 conference provides a platform for leading researchers and scientists to share their latest findings in glass and optical materials. Haramanpreet’s acceptance and the subsequent grant underscore the relevance and significance of her research in advancing the understanding of glass technology.
