Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi delivers the concluding module of the Program

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) successfully concluded 10 day program “Foundation Course- An Odyssey of Human Endeavour” with the last module titled The KMV Experience (The Confluence-A Roundup of the Program). With an aim to strengthen the academic base of the learners, the course has been designed with a framework of ten modules that cover all the stages of mankind and the challenges faced while addressing momentous human issues through the entire journey till now.  This unique program, one of its own kind in region, has been ideated by Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi,the Pilot faculty who inaugurated the program with the first module of ‘The Human History’,that serves as a precursor to rest of the modules.A wide array of well – researched modules named ‘The Human Story’, ‘The Vedas and the Indian Philosophy’, ‘The Changing Paradigms in Society, Religion and Literature’, ‘The Journey of Woman and her Dream’, ‘Makers of Modern India’, ‘Racism: Story of the west’, ‘Modern World at a Glance: Political and Economic Perspective’,  ‘Technology vis a vis Human Life’, ‘My Nation My Pride’, and ‘KMV Experience’, have been structured into the course and are delivered by erudite scholars in the form of power point presentations. In the concluding module delivered by Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi, the students were acquainted with the rich legacy and role of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in nation building through women empowerment across three centuries. Prof Dwivedi instilled a sense of pride among young scholars through the narrative of KMV, the cradle of Women Empowerment and its role in India’ struggle for Independence. She also motivated the students to imbibe great human values and carry forward the rich human legacy by being responsible citizens of society. This10day interactive program was attended by more than 900 students who shared their views on varied aspects of human life. It is pertinent to mention that this innovative course about human story passing through the ancient, middle and modern ages and enlightening students on the need of core human values like ethics, social responsibility, compassion and cooperation etc. has been published in the form of a book. As an educationist par excellence, Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi has been bestowed with the Copyright of this book by Govt. of India in recognition of this creative and noble endeavour. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr. Vinod Kalra, Dr Madhumeet, Ms Vanila, Dr Gurjot Kaur, Ms. Amarpreet Khurana, Dr Monica and Ms. Ashima Sahni for their immense contribution. Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr Gurjot Kaur, Head, Department of History & Dr Monica, Director Gandhian Studies Centre for successfully organising the program.
