Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised the Annual Athletic Meet Trailblazers 2022. At the outset Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivediwelcomed the ChiefGuestSh. Chander Mohan ji President, Arya Shiksha Mandal. After the unfurling of KMV Sports Flag, it was time for March Past by Volleyball, Handball, Football, KhoKhoAthletes and NCC squad of the collage. Squads teams were lead by players of national and international time as the display of discipline and team spirit was spectacular. Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi thanked Sh. Chander Mohan for his inspiring presence and blessings on the AthleticMeet. She congratulated all the sportswomen who had made their mark in the field of sports with their diligence and skill. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi while addressing the audience averred that sports is a prestigious human activity since the dawn of human civilisation and we cannot imagine the world without the sports. She also encouraged one and all to participate whole heartedly in the events of the day.The Chief Guest Sh. Chander Mohan ji addressing the eagerly listening young sportsperson said that the face of sports had seen a sea change in the recent years as women had entered the arena of sports with aplombin the 21st century. Untiring efforts, dedication and commitment he observed paved way for success. The Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Prof. (Dr.) Sukhdev Singh, Director Sports & Head, Department of Physical Education, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Along with him, Dr. Amardeep Singh, Deputy Director, Sports, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar &Dr Jatinderpal were also present. On this occasion, all the winners of the various events and the coaches of different games were honoured by the Chief Guest. During the colourful progression of the day various events in the categories for players & non-players took place namely 100mt&200mt race, Long jump, Sack race,Spoon & Potato race, Shot put, 400mtrace for non-players. The other events for the faculty included Tug of War (Male & Female Staff), Musical Chair (Female Staff).The winners for the various events were 100 metres (Non-player)- Nisha, Harvinder & Sakshi were first, second and third respectively, 100 metres(player)- Samina, Manpreet & Geeta Rani&Lovedeep Kaur were first, second and third, Three-legged race (Non player)– Harvinder & Nisha, Preeti &Shanu and Simran & Yashika were first, second and third, Sack race- Simranpreet, Amisha &Ripudaman were first second and third, 200 metres (non-player)- Harvinder, Sakshi &Vinakshi were first, second and third, 200 metres (player)- Samina, Manpreet & Neha were first, second and third, Long jump (non-player)- Harvinder, Nisha &Rinkal were first, second and third, Long Jump(players)- Asha, Samina & Simran &Reenu were first, second and third respectively, Spoon & Potato race- Neha & Shruti were first&second respectively, 400 metres (player)- Radha, Manpreet & Renu were first, second and third respectively, 400 meters (non player)- Sakshi, Harshita &Rinkalwere first, second and third respectively, Shot Put(Players)- Renu, Ritika & Kavita and Ramandeep were first, second and third respectively, Relay race (Players)- Radha, Geeta, Manpreet &Samina were first, Neha, Divyanshi, Kavita & Sonia were second and Harmanpreet, Ramandeep, Simran Kaur & Renu were third respectively, 50 metres (Female staff below 35) – Ms. Baldina, Ms Garima & Ms Deepika were first, second and third respectively, 50 metres (Female staff above 35) -Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr Sangeeta & Dr Neetu Chopra were first, second and third respectively, Three legged race ( Female Staff)- Ms Aman & Ms Gurkiran were first, Ms Kulbir& Ms Heena were second and Ms Dimple & Ms Sandeep were third respectively. Best Athlete (non player) was bagged by Harvinder, Best Athlete (Player) was bagged by Samina. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Davinder and Ms Baldina for successfully organising the annual athletic meet.
