Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)always strive to impart practical training to the students for their holistic development. In a new initiative, students of PG Department of Chemistry attended the “Summer Training – Industrial Project” in different industrial and research institutes. The main objective of this training was to provide students hands onexperience in synthesis of organic compounds along with their application and data interpretation by using different spectroscopic techniques.Some of the students have worked in pharmaceutical industry and have got information about the working of latest techniques such as Ultraviolet and IR spectroscopy along with the manufacturing and marketing process. Students also learnt column chromatography technique which is one of the most important method for the purification of organic compound by using different organic solvents. Ankita, Kajal, Balwinder, Vasudha, Supriya and Neha of MSc. Chemistry Sem III also received certificates for their work from their respective institutes.Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of PG Department of Chemistry for guiding and mentoring the students.
