Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has taken an important step in the direction of teaching students about sustainable techniques of fashion creation and consumption in their curriculum. Under this, the students of PG Department of Fashion Designing displayed their creative interests by making innovative clothes out of the waste & old clothes by recycling them in a very suitable manner. This effort will help the students to understand the needs and importance of the fashion industry in the times to come, as well as will increase the possibilities of setting up a career in this field and fulfilling the objectives of sustainable fashion. It is noteworthy that under the autonomous status, Department of Fashion Designing has upgraded its syllabi & has includedthe subject of Basics of Sustainability in B.Sc. Fashion Designing Sem Vand M.Sc. Sem II curriculum. While teaching sustainable fashion as a subject, opportunities are also provided to the students to work on various projects so as to inculcate the sense of sustainable fashion in them. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi while congratulating the students on this brilliant effort, lauded  the efforts made by the PG Department of Fashion Designing for the overall development of the students.
