Pays Obeisance to the Great Martyr
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) & Outlook Magazine is always infused with patriotic fervour. In a new initiative, the NCC cadets of KMV paid obeisanceto Shaheed Sardar Udham Singh by cleaning statue of great martyr situated at LambaPind Chowk, Jalandhar. This initiative was done under the SwachtaAbhiyaan launched by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that involving youth in social activities helps the younger generation to become more responsible and ideal citizens of the country. She further maintained that the NCC cadets of KMV were involved in various activities like cleaning & maintaining public parks& donating blood etc. from time to time during the academic session. Prof. Dwivedi averred that KMV has also adopted villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of all NCC cadets and Lt. Seema Arora, Incharge, NCC for this initiative.
