The NCC cadets of KMV cleaned the statue of Shaheed Udham Singh situated at Lamba Pind Chowk, Jalandhar. The statue adopted by KMV is regularly cleaned and maintained by volunteer cadets of the unit. This time also as directed by NCC Directorate Chandigarh, the statue was cleaned in wake of the coming Independence Day celebrations. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that involving youth in social activities helps the younger generation to become more responsible and ideal citizens of the country. She further maintained that the NCC cadets of KMV were involved in various activities like cleaning & maintaining public parks & donating blood etc. from time to time during the academic session. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of all NCC cadets and Lt. Seema Arora, Incharge, NCC for this initiative.
