PERMISSION LETTER
Report
On February 22, 2025, NEP SAARTHI Committee, in collaboration with the PG Department of Punjabi, organized a vibrant and meaningful rally at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, to mark the occasion of Bhartiya Bhasha Divas. The event, which commenced at 11:00 AM, was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity, and to underscore the significance of preserving and promoting one’s mother tongue.
More than 100 enthusiastic students participated in the rally, carrying creative and thought-provoking slogans that highlighted the value of mother languages in preserving cultural heritage and identity. The slogans, crafted by the students themselves, reflected deep respect for linguistic traditions and showcased their commitment to safeguarding their mother tongue.
The rally served as a powerful platform to sensitize the academic community and the general public about the rich linguistic heritage of India. It also echoed the broader vision of the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasizes the use and promotion of mother tongue and regional languages in education and communication.
The Principal of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Madam Principal, commended the NEP Saarthi Committee and the Department of Punjabi for organizing such a purposeful event. She appreciated the creativity and participation of the students and emphasized the critical role that youth play in preserving India’s linguistic diversity. In her address, she noted, “Our mother tongue is not just a medium of communication, but a vessel of our values, traditions, and identity. It is our responsibility to respect and preserve it.”
The event concluded with a heartfelt message urging everyone to honor and protect their mother language as an essential part of their cultural roots. The rally not only instilled a sense of pride among students for their linguistic heritage but also inspired them to be active custodians of their cultural identity.
