Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) is known for maintaining high standards of academic excellence. In keeping with this tradition, KMV’s Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi honoured Mrs. Ashima Sahni, Head, Department of Political Science on editing  a book titled- “National and Global Security Challenges: Approaches and Strategies” by Bharti Publication, New Delhi ISBN 978-93-90818-22-8. The book explores wide range of issues related to Strategic co-operation in the context of new cold war, world peace, Global security issues e.g.  National, Health, environmental and Human security challenges, Human rights issue & Counterterrorism, etc. It is important to mention that Ashima Sahni has earlier edited one book titled “Human Rights: Challenges & Prospects” and has also authored a book on “India China Relation in 21^st Century: New Beginnings & Old Continuums” in the year 2020. She has more than 20 research papers to her credit in reputed national & international journals. Sahni attributed her success to KMV Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi who always inspires the faculty to achieve greater heights of success and also to the academic environment provided by the KMV to grow and nurture one’s talent and hone one’s skill. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Ashima Sahni for her outstanding achievement. She averred that KMV provides the most suitable ambiance for the teachers to pursue academic & research-related activities. She further maintained that this book will be a good addition to all university & college libraries with significant holdings in International Affairs & Asian Studies.
